    New Gen 2 announced, available approximately July

    1. Improved motor efficiency and heat dissipation. The motor is now more efficient and it is also changed to an in-runner motor which dissipates heat better.
    2. Improved reliability and serviceability. All the parts are easily removable and replaceable by end users. No glue/difficult-to-remove parts that will require specific tools.
    3. Also, due to a complete redesign, inner components like the internal sprag clutch are now 3 times the original rating. The motor is made bulletproof with a much higher safety factor.
    4. Interchangeable with a larger size motor (the Proton motor). This is only the motor part that will be interchangeable with the rest of the motor system so it offers an easy upgrade path for customers who are looking for more power.
    5. The new controller supports up to 72V for both Photon Gen 2 and Proton models.
    6. The Photon Gen 2 will be slightly heavier, around 200g more but the pricing will be similar.

    PHOTON 750W Mid-Drive Conversion Kit

    The PHOTON is a compact and lightweight mid-drive electric bike conversion kit made to create a smooth pedal assist feeling that feels natural and seemless. Rated at 750W & 110N.m. Compatible with 36V to 52V battery packs.

    The package includes everything you need to convert your bike except the battery:

    1. Motor body with Gen 3 torque sensing freewheel module
    2. Chainring with chainring cover
    3. Bottom bracket assembly
    4. Crank set
    5. Peripherals including
      1. Display
      2. Waterproof wiring
      3. Throttle
      4. Speed sensor
      5. Brake sensors (optional)
    6. User manual (ecopy)

    New CYC motors are equipped with the Gen 3 torque sensing technology exclusively developed in-house by our team of engineers and riders. Together they achieved a pedal assist experience for conversion kits like you've never seen before!

    NATURAL, SMOOTH RIDING

    Equipped with our patent pending torque sensor module, we can give you a refined pedal assist system. The torque sensor module includes both a high sensitivity torque sensor strain gauge module and a cadence sensing module. The high number of poles of the cadence sensor ensures that we can control the sensitivity to a much higher degree & provides the opportunity to fine-tune the firmware alongside rider inputs. The result? Unprecedented ebiking!
